St Louis Cat Clinic

A few months ago my kitten became really ill (he has feline leukemia virus). Our old vet basically gave him a death sentence and sent us on our way with the usual treatment of antibiotics and steroids. I wasn't ready to give up and accept that answer without a second opinion. We suspected FIP, but our vet at the time was dismissive and was going to make us wait over a week to test for it. I called St. Louis Cat Clinic and they found time to see him quickly, tested for FIP (he was positive) and began treatment immediately. Had they not acted so quickly, it could have been too late for him. The ongoing care, support, and expertise has been phenomenal, even as other problems have arisen. They have been so thorough in communicating test results and recommendations. The absence of dog sounds/scents has definitely reduced vet visit anxiety for us. The whole clinic is designed to make cats feel comfy/safe, and the doctors and other staff are amazing - and truly "cat people." They do a phenomenal job of staggering the appointments so you almost never even encounter another cat. I think we were in the waiting room with another cat only one time and that was only for a couple minutes before we were brought into the exam room. We have visited 6 times in the last few months and each encounter has been as pleasant as the last. I cannot recommend them enough!

My cat, Checkers, has special needs and has never enjoyed vet visits. I was amazed that he actually laid down on the table and seemed so much more calm than usual, even without gabapentin. This was also our first visit to the clinic as a new patient, so he didn’t know the area, people, or clinic. They made me feel heard and have made my cat feel very safe and at ease for the first time in his life and I can’t thank them enough for making my boy feel even a little comfort at a time when he’s always felt extreme fear and anxiety. Thank you guys for all you do, I’m so happy to have found a new clinic after our move to Missouri.

I love this Veterinary practice. They have always given my cats the best care, and they love cats

My cat has moved around with me to several cities and we have been to many vets and this is by far the best. My girl just had a dental cleaning the other day and they updated me before and after the procedure. Dr. Howard was very thorough in explaining everything and educated me on certain things. I feel like when we go in for our appointments they are very informative and help me to be a better cat owner. Could not recommend them more!!!
