I found them to be about half interested in actually helping the animals i brought in. and then the place went to total chaos. one cat i brought in for the same wound on his neck 5 times. he had no other problems, only the wound. on the 4th time, a couple of weeks ago they said "he weighs 8 pounds less since his last visit". i said thats nonsense, he eats healthy, look at him, he's getting phat. they blew it off and didnt recheck to see where their massive mistake was. and this last visit, they kept asking questions about symptoms the cat never, ever had. asking about all kinds of things except about the wound on his neck. its like they mixed up the files or something. the place got nothing but weirder and weirder. i'll never bring another animal there again. i certainly would never recommend that mixed up place to anyone.
oh,.. and i had to wait every time i went for a scheduled appointment.
by the way, Alex's last visit they didnt even weigh him at all. i cant know his weight progress if i wanted to. and his next doctor cannot use any record they kept of Alex if they even did keep one.
One cat i brought in "Harry", i brought in because it seemed he got his leg caught in something; he was in bad shape. the 'dr.' put him under and checked him out. he had his return visit. he quit eating and drinking. i tried everything. then just a few days before he passed on i noticed one of his paws. i noticed it because for weeks he'd been putting his paw in his water bowl. his paw was a crusty ball of mess. dirt, infection,.. i dont know. i tried to clean it. i wanted to bring him back to the 'dr.' and have you fix his messed up paw but it was too late. he was too gone. i never wanted to tell you but maybe that paw, that you overlooked and did nothing about, is why Harry boy quit eating and drinking.
It's maybe 90% probability that your carelessness/incompetence in not finding his bad paw in the first place is the reason he's not here with me now. but i have to kick myself forever, i kept asking him 'Harry, why do you keep putting your paw in your water bowl?'. i feel pretty bad for not noticing the paw sooner.
you did one thing for me: you made me know that i must help the cats myself. i must be the doctor.
update: Alex's wound has been very recently dramatically improving since ive learned to douse the wound in anti-microbial 'hydrogel' twice a day. turns out maybe, the over 700 i think its been i paid for him i could have spent on this stuff at 18 bucks a bottle. but i gave the two stars: one for each shot of Covenia. thanks for the effort.
i think it was the 3rd visit for Alex's neck wound, Alex was half drugged up when you let him fall off that 4' high table onto the floor, making a very audible knock sound of his head.
the last advise the 'dr.' had for me was to not put anything on Alex's wound.
i had to remove one of the stars: for that sound of Alex's head hitting your floor. and you actually tried to drop him a second time.
update: i think Alex is starting to enjoy my filling his wound 4 times a day with the hydrogel. i will post the progress of the wound with my limited efforts and see.
i was very new to this, and they were not much help. Alex is feral and had mental problems, probably abused. i found that i keep my hands hidden and teach him to look at my face, he is starting to live with me here in reality. He's a good boy,.. i tell him that all the time.
ive ordered some bite proof animal handling gloves. i didn't know they were required for a dr visit. Alex will never fall again.
Alex likes my medical treatment of him now. He bends his head and opens the wound for me. i squirted and worked around a bit, the hydrogel under the 'scab' just a while ago. the wound is now the size of a nickel or so. Alex almost talked to me today,.. the moan becomes words. -that gave me a thought: maybe i could have gotten your helper to learn how to communicate too. i have a way like that. it's all fear based. -dr. james i bet she's improved since my visit.
Dr. Sita and the entire staff of Jefferson are amazing! Our new puppy was very sick, and Dr. Sita took incredible care of him - we couldn’t have asked for better care all the way around. I highly recommend them, especially Dr. Sita and the tech Krystal!
